MudMap Studio worked closely with the consultant team and Chinatown stakeholders to develop a public art and interpretation strategy for the Chinatown Revitalisation Project.

MudMap Studio’s role has included historical and cultural research, mapping and facilitating workshops/engagement sessions. MudMap Studio then worked with artists and local community to deliver a number of interpretation and art items.

Through extensive engagement and collaborative design, the design process for this project has led to the implementation and creation of public art and interpretation in Chinatown that acknowledges Traditional Owners and other cultural groups that established Chinatown, as well as to capture key historical and cultural stories.
